Our Official Meeting held in Indian High Commission Office in Muscat on July 1998 for the Escort Service of Prime Minister of India During his Oman Visit. Mr. Sreenivasa Reddy (The first Secretary of Consulate) signed Service Agreement with our company. Visit of Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee to Oman in August, 1998. This significant visit helped maintain the momentum that have been achieved in the bilateral relations between India and Oman. This further reaffirmed the commitment and desire of both the countries to maintain close and cordial relations with frequent consultations and exchange of views at the highest levels. JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENY Mr.Shane Reid, The Senior Officer of JICA Team in Master Plan of Salalah Port.Our Officila Meeting held in Hilton Salalah on 1st January 2000 Why JICA at SALALAH PORT:- Oman's government signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Salalah Port Services Company SAOG (SPS) in September naming SPS as the project manager for Salalah Port Free Zone (SPFZ) while US-based Hillwood Development was named as the specialist developer for SPFZ. SPS and Hillwood are developing a master plan for the entire free zone at Salalah. It will determine what additional infrastructure may be necessary to support the project as well as develop the business, financial and marketing plans for the venture and form a new operating company to run the development called Salalah Port Free Zone Company SAOC.( http://www.jica.go.jp ) |
